 Introducing Rory Douglas,  baritone

John is joined in this concert by young Edinburgh baritone Rory Douglas, who will sing two songs by Purcell—‘Wondrous machine’ from the  ode  Hail, bright Cecilia! and the ‘Cold Song’ (‘What power art thou?’) from King Arthur. Also included will be   ‘O ruddier than the cherry’ from Handel’s Acis and Galatea, and  ‘Lord God of Abraham’ from Mendelssohn’s Elijah.  John will include also a few organ solos.
