Get Organised - A celebration of the music of Handel

John returns to a favourite composer—George Frideric Handel—and repeats some pieces from one of the earliest Get Organised concerts, in April 2004.  We will hear the rousing marches from Deidamia  (an unknown opera), Rinaldo and Scipio as well as the graceful minuet from Alcina and the famous ‘Lascia ch’io pianga’ from Rinaldo.   John will include the ‘Arrival of the Queen of Sheba’ from Solomon, the ‘Dead March’  from Saul and the overture from Athalia.  He might even squeeze in a couple of movements from the Water Music.
