Songs of activism with Love Music's "Truth Seekers"

On March 11, Love Music Community and Junior Choirs, led by Stephen Deazley and Sally Jaquet, will be joined in concert at the Usher Hall by Edinburgh City Organist John Kitchen and guitarist Steven Polwart, alongside their genre defying pianist Dave Milligan.
In Love Music’s trademark eclectic and colourful style, music and words span three centuries from the devotional poets to songs of activism. In this event themed “Truth Seekers”, the programme includes a mystical reinterpretation of Robert Burns, a nod to sacred spaces of church and druids, and features songs by Vaughan Williams, Nina Simone, Arvo Pärt, The Beatles, and Sinéad O’Connor. For those who can’t make it to the hall, the concert will be recorded and available to watch online for one week after the event.
Stephen Deazley, the Artistic Director of Love Music, had this to say about the event:
“The initial impulse for this 'Truth Seekers' programme came from the passing of the much missed Irish singer and activist Sinéad O’Connor, an extraordinary artist and an uncompromising voice. Joined by the voices of Nina Simone, John Lennon, and the pared-back spirituality of the music of Arvo Pärt, all of them pursued the notion of seeking and speaking truth whenever they could. Being mindful of the unsettling world of misinformation and disinformation in which we live, when truth is so persistently undermined, it's useful to have beacons like these artists to remind us and inspire us.”
