The McIntyre-Morris Duo formed whilst studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, via a shared passion for storytelling through song. They have since performed across Scotland, and their programmes focus on romantic and folk-inspired music, ranging from Schubert to English folk songs. The duo joined Live Music Now Scotland in 2022 and perform to a diverse range of audiences, as well as delivering LMNS workshops and outreach programmes.

James McIntyre is an award winning Scottish tenor, who most recently performed in Carmen as a 2023 Waterperry Opera Festival Young Artist. As a recitalist, James strives to promote the performance of the underappreciated Scottish Art Song repertoire including the music of Buxton Orr, Ronald Center, Francis George Scott and Ronald Stevenson.

Described as playing with “outstanding technique and subtle nuance” (Helly’s International Guitar Festival 2022), Ross’s performing career has taken him to stages across the UK, North America and Australia. As a chamber musician, Ross is a member of Quartet Malamatina, who have toured the UK and Canada, performed live for the BBC as well as commissioning and premiering two new works for the ensemble.
